One of Valletta's originals, Trabuxu began its life as Malta's very first wine bar in 2002 and has since evolved into a beloved bistro capturing the relaxed elegance of Valletta's dining scene. The red-checkered tablecloths, charming outdoor terrace, and warm buzz of conversation create an atmosphere that's equal parts casual and refined. The menu is a celebration of Mediterranean comfort food — braised rabbit with Maltese sausage and cannellini beans, rich bone marrow pasta, homemade agnolotti, and a classic berry pavlova to finish. The wine list is extensive, with excellent selections from Malta, Italy, and beyond. A timeless Valletta favourite.
